The International Domestic Workers Network (IDWN) gathered in Geneva at the IUF headquarters on May 30, in preparation for the 100th International Labour Conference, where the consideration of a Convention on domestic labor will be finalized.  In this second year of social dialogue on Decent Work for Domestic Workers, members of  IDWN  have increased their participation as voting representatives of their national delegations. The extensive lobbying and outreach efforts among domestic work and allied organizations over the course of the last year point to substantive increased government support for the established of a setting standards instrument for the sector.  The ILC opens on Wednesday June 1. Look to our blog for daily updates on the process.  VIVA domestic workers, VIVA!
